HOW TO BECOME A UKIP CANDIDATE
We are always in need of people who are willing to bring UKIP values into local decision-making, cutting through the red tape and waste that is all too prevalent nowadays.
Obviously, first of all you must
belong to UKIP.
This year, in May 2016, there will be local government elections. If you would like to stand for UKIP in a local election at Town, District or County level, please call
Margaret King on 01480 370386.
- To stand for a District seat you must be on the electoral register in that district and fulfil local residency qualifications.
- To stand for the Parish seats you must be on the electoral register in the parish concerned and fulfil local residency qualifications.
- To stand for a County seat you must be on a electoral register within the county and fulfil county residency qualifications.
All of this will be explained to you and we will help you to follow the correct procedures.
The seats that are being contested this year are as follows.
