There is a General Election on Thursday 12th December. We all know the reasons and why it is at this time of year. But the question for UKIP members and voters, and anyone else who wants a true Brexit, is how should they vote on 12th December?
This election is foremost about Brexit. Other issues are secondary in importance and relevance. For us in UKIP, the election presents a conundrum. We want Brexit, but we argue that Boris Johnson's Withdrawal Deal is not
Brexit. It is difficult to disagree with Nigel Farage who views the deal as a 'gigantic con'
This deal keeps 95% of May's original surrender deal. It is a pig. Boris has put lipstick on May's deal. But it is still a pig. To understand more, read this blog by our branch chair If Boris' deal is so good for the UK, why does the EU like it?
This deal is being foisted on the 17.4m Leave voters by a Tory Prime Minister desperate to show that he's delivering Brexit. But it will be BRINO - Brexit In Name Only.
UKIP is not standing candidates in either Huntingdon or South Cambs in this election. Our traditional supporters must make their own minds up who to vote for. But we urge those in other constituencies around the country to ignore the blackmail by the Tory party who claim that Brexit is imperiled we don't vote for them. Enough people will vote to get the Tories a majority.
But who will hold the new Tory government to account on Brexit if there are no true
Brexit MPs in the Commons? This can only happen if enough people vote for UKIP or the Brexit Party where there are candidates. Only these two parties are offering a true Brexit and can be trusted by the public to implement their decision in the 2016 referendum.
